Nwajagu Samuel, first African to win Mister International beauty pageant

On December 14, 23-year-old model and software engineer Samuel Chinemerem Nwajagu emerged as the winner of the Mister International competition held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Competing against 47 contestants from around the world, Nwajagu impressed the judges with his poise, charisma, and dedication. In addition to being crowned Mister International 2024, he also won the “Best in Swimwear” award, underscoring his excellence and versatility as a model. His achievement is a testament to years of hard work and commitment to his craft.

Before his global triumph, Nwajagu had already distinguished himself nationally by winning the Mister International Nigeria 2024 title at the Misters of Nigeria pageant, held on June 16, 2024, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel. This national victory served as a stepping stone that propelled him to shine on the international stage.

Upon his return, Nwajagu was warmly received by officials at the Nigerian Embassy in Thailand, celebrating his groundbreaking achievement. In interviews, he expressed gratitude for the support he received and vowed to inspire young Africans to pursue their dreams relentlessly.

Manuel is a graduate in the Double Degree of Administration, Business Management and Law. After living in six different countries, he now has his residence fixed in Portugal. He is a model and has participated in the latest edition of the Lisbon Fashion Week.

The national competition was attended by Alejandro Nieto, Mister International Spain 2015 and Sergio Ayala, Mister Model International 2019.

Paul battled 34 other contestants and claimed the title of Mister International 2016.

Paul succeeded Pedro Mendes, Mister International 2015 after winning Mister International 2016 title.

Paul Iskandar was declared Mister International 2016 along with Masaya Yamagishi, Japan as the 1st runner up and Vinicio Modolo, Italy as the 2nd runner up.
