Michael Pelletier, Mr. Switzerland, became the winner of the Mr. Grand International 2022, held in Trinidad and Tobago.

The 28-year-old fashion model Michael Pelletier from Perly, Geneva, was proclaimed Mister Grand International 2022 on Friday, November 25 at the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA) in Trinidad and Tobago.

Michael describes himself as passionate, as he has always been interested to learn as much as possible about new topics, new learnings, and experiences. He is confident, as it helps him recognize his abilities while also knowing that there’s always room to learn more. And lastly, he is helpful, as he often find happiness in assisting and be of service and support to others especially who are in need.

The winners of the male pageant are as follows: 

• Mister Grand International 2022 – Michael Pelletier of Switzerland
• 1st Runner-up – Kristzan Delos Santos – Philippines
• 2nd Runner-up – Aaron Tan – Singapore
• 3rd Runner-up – Aquil Ramsahai – Trinidad & Tobago
• 4th Runner-up – Vu Linh – Vietnam
• 5th Runner-up – Teaniva Dinard – Tahiti

Other Special Category Awards: 

Mister Grand Philippines, Kristzan Delos Santos, also won the award for the “Best in Formal Wear” category, while the “Sports Ambassador” award was secured by Mister Cambodia, You Thoanvannak. 

The “Mister Congeniality” award was presented to Mister Bolivia – Eduardo Rivero

Gálvez bested 33 other candidates, including Matthew Gilbert Wibowo of Indonesia who is 1st runner-up and Leonidas Amfilochios of Greece, 2nd runner-up. 

Moises Peñaloza of Mexico is 3rd runner-up, while Heriberto Rivera of Puerto Rico is 4th runner-up. 

The top 10 were completed by Misters Brazil, El Salvador, France, Thailand (Supra Fan Vote Winner) and Vietnam. The candidates from Argentina, Belgium, Dominican Republic, Italy (Mister Friendship and Supra Influencer Award winner), Korea (Supra Chat winner), Peru, Philippines, Spain, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela completed the top 20.

This is the first time that Cuba has won the Mr. Supranational title.

The runners-up were Vladimir Grand of Ukraine, Nadim El Zein of the Philippines, Tjardo Vollema of the Netherlands, and Nguyen Huu Anh of Vietnam.

Korea’s Jin Kyu Kim relinquished his reign at the end of the event.

The new Man of the World winner was born and raised in Pune, Maharashtra, India in a middle-class family. He is an actor, a singer, a model, and a content creator.

During the question and answer portion, he was asked to respond to a quote from Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai “With guns you can kill terrorists, with education you can kill terrorism.”

“If you have the true knowledge of whom to follow and whom not to, that is where education will lead you to. If you get the knowledge of whom to follow and whom not to, you will never get into terrorism,” he said.

“Terrorism is nothing but just a mindset which has gone in the wrong way. You missed the self-belief, you go in a different way. Believe in yourself, choose your path wisely, and yes, do have education before you choose it,” he added.

It was the first time for India to win the international male competition.

Man of the World is organized by Manila-based Prime Event Productions Philippines (PEPPS) Foundation, which also mounts the annual Misters of Filipinas competition.

Zait Reza of Coahuila, placed first runner up while Felipe Lopez Olivares, from Veracruz, placed second runner up.  Paco Flores of Tlaxcala and Jesus Esparza of Jalisco completes the top 5.

The rest of the top twelve include; Francisco Iturralde (Chiapas), Ivan Varas (Estado de Mexico), Alonso Molina (Morelos), Javier Barrera (Yucatan), Stephen Rivas (Oaxaca), Ernesto Barraza (Durango) and Isaac Zúñiga (Queretaro).

Moises is an actor and began his career in the theater of the Metropolitan Cultural Space in Tampico Tamaulipas.  He then moved to Mexico City and formalized his studies at a professional level at the Televisa Center for Artistic Education (CEA) 2015-2017, he has had a presence on the big screen and in comedy shows, magazines, series, soap operas and Reality, “Las estrellas bailan en Hoy” where he got the 2nd place.

His passions are defined by extreme sports and is a huge fan of American football.  He develops musical and creativity skills by playing the guitar, drums and flute. He really enjoys dancing and riding a motorcycle.  Like all athletic youngsters, he likes to keep moving by performing athletics, balancing and calisthenics.

In his free time, he likes to create and design jewelry, which he shares and monetizes at @mekatepuro (virtual jewelry store).

Suveer Ramsook, a model and actor from Trinidad & Tobago became the first runner-up,

Cardiff Cayman of the United States of America was declared the second runner-up, Cedric Cabane of France, third runner-up, and Jacob Ondrus of Canada was the fourth runner-up.

Venezuela, Mexico, Ecuador, Panama, and the Philippines completed the top ten.
